DDD Parent Providers

What is a DDD Parent Provider?

The Parent Provider program in Arizona allows qualifying parents and guardians to become paid caregivers of Habilitation and/or Attendant Care services for their own child of any age.  In order to qualify, the child must be approved for these services through the Arizona Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) and Arizona Long Term Care System (ALTCS).  If you need help understanding how to qualify, AZA United is here to guide you through the process of understanding this valuable program.

Specifically, parents can provide Habilitation and Attendant Care services, but not Respite. There are some limitations, however. For example, if you are a parent who works from home, you would not be allowed to provide DDD services during the same hours you are paid by another employer. You can learn more about this program and related policies by reading our Parent Provider FAQs.

If you are interested in starting the process now, the first step is to complete our Parent Provider application.

How is this program beneficial?

Parents choose to enroll in the Parent Provider program for a multitude of reasons. It offers them expedited access to essential care services, ensuring that their child's needs are met promptly. Additionally, some parents find that the existing care arrangements perfectly align with their child's specific requirements, making it a sensible choice. This program is especially beneficial for families that live in areas where providers are often not available. This program can be an ideal solution for filling schedule gaps or ensuring continuity of care when no other providers are available, offering parents a flexible and dependable way to meet their child's healthcare needs.

This program empowers parents to provide the best care for their children, ensuring their well-being and development while offering financial support to their families.
